Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be a good runner to take part?
No not at all. The Mindful Running Project is open to people of all abilities and fitness levels. You can even walk if you would prefer not to run. The aim is to run or walk at a moderately strenuous pace in order to feel like you are physically exerting yourself. This will raise your heart rate, increase your breathing rate and release the feel good hormones into your body.

How much does it cost?
Nothing - everything we offer is free. We are not-for-profit organisation that aims to support the community by using running to help improve mental health. All you have to do is create a free account to book your runs and access the online resources.
How do the group runs work?
The group run will start with a quick introduction to the session and a warm up. The route may be a loop or an out-and-back, which means there is no need to worry about your pace and being left behind. If people want to run a little faster or slower then that is absolutely fine. At the end of the session there will be a cool down followed by a coffee nearby for those interested.
